I bought this car from a friend for a very good price. Even better I bought it for the same amount of money I sold my previous car (900ng).
I traded upwards to say the least.

Its a 2002 year model, black coupe fully equipped. Dead stock from start but pretty soon a do88 intercooler, 630cc injectors and JE pistons ended up inside it.
After that some Koni dampers and bushings for the front end found its way to the car.
When the gearbox exploded at a red light after some launchcontrol fun I made sure Another break would at least be put on hold for a while with a quiafe LSD differential.
I loved the car as it was, it did 0-100 (60mph) i 5.9sec

The thing is, as you know, you always want more. When I made up my mind that the dragracing days were over I took the engine out of my Opel Corsa and put it in my 9-3. This was a b206 block with forged 2.3l pistons and rods.
Together with a gtbb30, a custom exhaust manifold and inlet manifold it produces 450hp and 600nm to the wheels. This was tested on a Mustang dyno, which has been proven to show lower numbers than other traditional dynos.

The car went through a complete makeover last winter. It got wrapped in blue and yellow colors to look like our old touring car. This probably was when I started thinking about really going crazy.
Still, it took this whole season until I finally decided to throw out the Aero interior to save weight.
Just by throwing out the front and rear seats and just leaving one bucket race seat made in glass fiber the car dropped 100 kilos. And that's with the stock seatbelts, airbags, tensioners and that big seatbelt thing in the back still in place. Oh and prior to this I loved a good soundsystem aswell so now I had to throw out my 12" sub too.

Enough, lets get on to a specs list and some pics and vids.

awesome! i really like what you done with the livery/graphics - it was something iv considered doing on my own, especially with it being silver and quite bland, thought about some sort of white motorsports wheels and get some green graphics to set the white/silver/green off or something along those lines.

Hi Kalle!

First of all it´s been great to see all your projects, i´ve also been "following" your family´s work for a while (something like since -07 or so) thumbs up for all of you [smile] It´s really nice that you´ve lately put that crazy effort for all the videos to keep all fellow saabists interested and adding a new spark to the whole set, while/due it seems that you´re having a blast [biggrin]

But about your 9-3, I was wondering about the turbo which you have in there, what specs does it have and how high boost are you running (approx of course since it´s a T7)? And i´m also interested about your tranny, internals from a 9-3 ss any details about it? I saw some build thread/pics of gearbox somewhere but not sure if it was this one or something else and could´nt find it again.

Mine´s still a work in process - as always, but it´s up there in the gallery if interested.

Grattis för den bra byggt, det går jävla fint! [wink]
Mvh, Wippe/Visa Viljanen

Thanks man!
Yeah eveeything I do is for fun. If people enjoy it its a bonus!

This is the turbo I got
GT3071R Garrett 700382-5020S
If you google it youll find the specs on it.
The boost is between 1.6bar and 2.0bar depending on rpm and resistance. I have full boost from about 3.300rpm and it drops from 2.0bar to 1.7bar above 5.500rpm on high gears. I guess its maxed out. But it doesnt matter for me. I wouldnt trade this driveability away for a bigger turbo.

Well theres really no gain in using b207 internals in the gearbox. We do it mostly because of the ratio and the fact that they are much newer.i rather take a gearbox from 2008 than 1996.
Im having plans about the diesel stuff but we'll see what happens.

Good luck with your build and feel free to ask anything.
Ill check it out!
