Woohoo first post! Unless someone posts before me while writing this haha. I'm looking for a clutch upgrade as mine sometimes slips in 3rd gear+ WOT and I plan on further tuning. I am looking for something that will handle my goal's ~350hp and ~400ftlbs tq. I am extremely weary of SPEC and don't think that is the route I want to go down.

I was thinking about contacting maybe KY or Blackdiamond? Has anyone had a success story for the 6speed upgrade? Also what all would I need to buy? I was thinking about just purchasing/asking them to make me a clutch kit and buy the master and slave myself, anything else? If I go KY and they custom make it, what should I go for as far as the flywheel goes (single or dual mass, steel or aluminum).

I am new when it comes to clutches, so please correct/educate me if you think I am misunderstanding something.

Thanks

SPEC is hit or miss, so your worry is founded.
You will want a clutch rated for a higher torque capacity than what you are looking to get out of the engine, that way you can beat on it a little without it complaining too much.
Black diamond is a good name, and they have clutches for sale on partsforsaabs with my quick google search.

What is your intended use of the car with that power? That will have a big role whether you keep or trash the DMF, or what weight you go with in single mass.

It will still be my daily driver with the option of some heavy power when I want to have fun, only problem I've heard about is the car doesn't like to warm up with e85 haha. I'm not sure about what weight I would be going with, I guess something that is useful for daily driving, maybe a bit on the heavy side since I feel like stock the rpm takes a little while to go down, or maybe that's a good effect to help save my syncros haha.
